Each single detail can make a difference, starting with the kids birthday invitation. Only parents know how important it is to celebrate the first year of their babies, so they are the ones that pay attention to the invites. Nowadays, there are so many options that some parents might find themselves confused: which are the best kids birthday party invitations, and how can I choose the best first birthday party invitations for kids?

For starters, you have to decide if the party will have a theme, like Toy Story, Barbie, or any Disney character. If the answer is yes, you may use kids birthday invitation templates according to that special theme. Once you are used to using software like Photoshop, you can let your imagination work and create a unique kids birthday invitation. And if you are not familiar with designing software, don’t be frustrated! You still have the chance to send your family and friends these perfect first birthday invitations that you have dreamed of in the last months. All you need to do is go online and search for specialized websites that can do it for you, and even compare some examples of kids birthday party invitations. Some of them offer services like free printable kids birthday invitations. You will be able to choose everything online. As you can see, the idea is combining creativity and technology, in order to have personalized kids birthday invitations.

Once you decide how the invite will look like, it’s time to discuss how you will prefer to deliver it. One of the key factors at this point of the process is money. How much are you willing to pay for the distribution of your kids birthday party invitations? In case you have a narrow budget, I would recommend sending the kid’s birthday invitations by email. I’m pretty sure that the majority of your guest list has an email address. If anyone wants to keep a tangible memory of the kids birthday invitation, that person can always print it at home. As simple as that!

Whereas, there are parents who consider that the first birthday invitation should be much more special, and they are prepared to open their wallets to guarantee just that. Many of those mothers and fathers who can afford it usually prefer to mail kids birthday invitation cards to each guest. They want to make sure that the good feelings about their sons and daughters will start spreading even before the actual celebration. You see, when guests receive invites at home and feel them in their hands, show them to other friends, and notice how cute their friends’ baby is, that is exactly what happens.

Kids birthday invitations can consume a lot of time, so make sure to start looking for what you want in advance. The process involves choosing the theme, the template, taking a picture of the baby in case you go for photo birthday invitations for kids, and deciding how to deliver the kids birthday invitations. Remember to get everything done at least 15 days before the event because you want everybody to show up and sing Happy Birthday to your kid for the first time.

First Birthday Invitations

First Birthday Invitations

First Birthday Invitations

I have my own little home business making kids first birthday invitations, and I and a friend came up with a fun idea. Her husband will be celebrating his 40th birthday next month and she asked me if would do some birthday party invitations for it. I of course agreed, but then she came up with the idea of doing them in the style of kids birthday invitations. I think it is a great idea and we can make them look just like kids birthday party invitations by having his name and picture on the front of those 40th birthday party invitations to make them look cute.

She came over yesterday with some free printable birthday invitations that she had found online, and together, we came up with some interesting and cool ideas that would make them look like some of the first birthday invitations that I make. The front of this specific kids birthday invitation would be light blue because there is a picture of him at their place as a child wearing a light blue E.T. shirt. I love using pictures in kids birthday invitations.

So, the front of our kids birthday party invitations is going to have a picture of him in a silly pose without him knowing about it (maybe riding a bicycle or sitting in the bathtub for example). We are going to use some sparkles for the lettering and draw some pictures of teddy bears and balloons. These are basically just the type of things that you would find on kids birthday invitations.

When you open up the first birthday invitation that we would make, it will read (in crayon or pencil) “Hi, my name is Lee and I would love it if you could join me in the celebration of my birth. It is going to be a whole lot of fun because we have a bunch of 40 birthday party ideas and there is plenty of cake”. We are going to decorate the first birthday invitations with the theme of Star Wars in mind. I have made many Star Wars themed kids birthday invitations so I knew exactly what I was doing! We will have Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker stickers gracing the front, back, as well as on the inside of those kids birthday invites.

The envelope that these 1st birthday invitations will be sent in is also going to be decorated the same, with one of the most popular kids birthday party themes which is Star Wars. I can’t wait to hand them out because these kids birthday invitations are so cute. Lee has no idea that we are making kids birthday invites for his party, so surely he will be surprised. He can always take a joke, so we don’t think that he will mind. I had so much fun doing these first birthday invitations that I may actually think of offering it to other adults as well.

So, kids birthday invitations don’t always need to be just for kids. Some adults would like the idea of sending out kids birthday party invitations for their party as well because it can be a fun and unique way to invite someone to an adult birthday. You know what? If you want to get a good laugh and you think you are getting old, then consider sending out first birthday invitations for your party!

Kids Birthday Party Invitations

Whether we are talking about first birthday invitations or any kids birthday party invitations really, they are as important as the actual party itself. Just the other day, I received one of those surprise birthday party invitations, but the person who made it forgot to mention the word surprise. We ended up having a lot of fun, but it didn’t really end up being a surprise birthday party at the end of the day to a minor wording mistake at the invitation. I have seen things like that happen all the time with kids birthday invitations, when moms rush through them due to the stress of coming up with party themes and ideas.

So, lesson number one is to pay close attention to the wording of your kids birthday party invitations. Kids birthday invitations have to be long enough to get the birthday party themes across, but not longer than that because you don’t want people bored of reading through everything on your kids birthday invitation. Also, it goes without saying that birthday invitation wording for kids should be different than that for adults. Especially when it comes to first birthday invitations, you don’t want to make it too sophisticated because it’s meant to be fun!

Now, let’s proceed to lesson number two about kids birthday party invitations. How much should you spend? I am not going to mention a number here, because I am sure that every person has a different budget in mind. Instead, I will give you some options in case you didn’t already know about them. You can find free printable birthday invitations online if you know where to look, but they are not always the best option to go for. Sure, these free kids birthday invitations will save you some money, and if they get the point across then that’s all you really need, but you also want them to look great so that they make the recipients look forward to the party!

Lesson number three is all about those kids birthday party themes. I should probably write a whole section about those, but here I am just going to talk about ways to show the theme through your kids birthday party invitations. So, if you are going to have an animal party theme, then you should have pictures of animals on the invitations too. That’s obvious, isn’t it? But that’s not all there is to it. You don’t just want people to think they are going to any animal theme party, and you should try and show that in your kids birthday party invitations too. They are invited to your kids party, so a photo of your kid dressed as an animal would be much better.  The same stands true for any boy or girl birthday party ideas. Your kids birthday invitations should be personalized to the party kid, because the whole purpose of the party is to celebrate his or her birthday!

This concludes today’s lesson about kids birthday invitations, but I’ll leave you with a tip before I go. Mention some birthday party games for kids on your invitation, or ask parents to recommend some games that their kids also enjoy. That is a great twist for kids birthday invitations, that makes both parents and kids look even more forward to coming to the party!
